I have some further information on topics to be covered at our inaugural Healthy Horses seminar on Sunday, 9th of November
Our first presenter, Petra Doerfling, is a qualified medical herbalist and proprietor of Lockyer Equine Therapies. Petra will be discussing sand colic prevention strategies and management, as well as talking about one of the most popular products of the moment, Tumeric, and it’s use in horses for various ailments. Our second present will be Sally-Ann Piggott, from Virbac Animal Health. Sally will be talking about all things worming, and her topics will include:
Why do we worm?
Strategic worming
The worms we should know about and understand

Rotation - how & why?
What is a FEC and FECRT?
Sally will also be giving a free Rotation Wheel and Weigh Tape for all who attend.
This event will be held in Annie’s Room at the Royal Hotel in Gatton, and is free to current LEGs members. We will be starting around 10am.
