Members Only Dressage
​Our popular 'members only' events are run throughout the competition season from March to October. Members only days provide two tests at each level from Preparatory to Advanced with FEI and PE tests by request.
Members compete for placings in each test and receive ribbons to sixth place with scores counting towards the end of year awards.

The Club Championships (normally held in October) concludes the competitive dressage year for the club and provides members an opportunity to earn weighted results towards end of year awards in addition to great awards for level champions. .
​
Members only dressage days are a great introduction to competitive dressage for both the riders and young or green horses.
​
Each year, one members day event is chosen as a charitable event with members dressing up and contributing towards a registered charity. Over the years, the club has helped raise funds for charities including Clown Doctors, Do it for Dolly, Daffodil day among other. Always a fun event for all!

Entries for all Members only Dressage events open approximately 4 weeks before the event and close after 7 days! Set those calendar reminders and watch out for 'entries open' notifications.

Competitive Dressage
Each year, the club hosts an official dressage event. Whether its a 2-star Championship, Closed Restricted or Closed Unrestricted, riders from near and far enjoy competitive dressage in Gatton.
For a number of years the club has hosted the Brenda Wittmann Classic Star Championship event attended by some of Queensland's best riders, horses and ponies. ​Affectionately known as 'The Brenda', the BWC is the showcase event for the Lockyer Equestrian Group, attracts competitors from across the state and is supported by some exceptional corporate sponsors.

LEG aims to maintain the events growth and continue to provide an enjoyable, competitor and spectator friendly event.
Audie Mansfield Club Championship Dressage

The annual club championships, named in honour of Audie Mansfield, is held in the later half of the competition year and sees members competing for level championship over two qualifying tests.
Placings from the championship event earn a weighted resulted towards end of year championship awards.

In Memory of Audie Mansfield:

Audie Mansfield, was a much-loved and long time member of LEG. She had a very long association with horses having shown and bred Arabian horses for years, and was well known around the show ring circles, along with her farrier husband Ron, who also showed Arabians in harness, and ran a business transporting brides to their weddings by horse and carriage.
​
Audie loved all animals and at her home at Spring Creek fed the lorikeets each day when they came down to their lovely garden. She bred bantam chooks and Bourke's parrots, and had 4 dogs, a Rhodesian ridgeback, two Shih Tzus and a Foxie.
Audie also loved swimming and for many years taught swimming in various locations.
She was a regular competitor at LEG days with her Arabian horse Coolmunda Olympic (Ollie) and was also a Dressage Judge and often helped out in that capacity at Dressage Days.
