What is Combined Training?

Horse and rider combinations complete a dressage test and jump round at the relative level. The cumulative score of both formats provides the outcome of the event. 

 

How does it work?

The LEG combined training events offer members the choice of 3 tests combined with the choice of 4 jump heights - x-poles/40cm, 50cm, 60cm and 80+cm

 

Dressage is judged as normal under EA guidelines with the scores and errors providing a % high score. The jump round is a timed event with competitors accruing time faults, errors and rails for a penalty score. There is no jump-off for combined training. The overall winner of the class is decided by deducting the showjuming penalties from the dressage score.
